Our Mission
The mission of this foundation is to help families of children with medically complex epilepsy create and preserve memories that will last far beyond a lifetime. To help siblings spend time with each other and just be kids, for parents to reconnect and to leave behind the stress and pressure that everyday life brings when caring for a child with disabilities and complex medical needs. This foundation will strive to provide these families who face financial difficulty with a one-week vacation in order to preserve their family tradition or to start a new tradition.
Family Vacations
We look forward to receiving applications for your family, or perhaps a family you are close with who are too proud to ask for help. Please let us know what a week away would mean to you and your loved ones and we will do our best to help you achieve that.
How Did LCF Start?
Shortly before Caroline was born, my husband had lost his job. I was working full-time and often picking up overtime to make ends meet. It was about half way through the year when I realized we weren’t going to have enough money to go on our family vacation to the beach. I was determined that we would go and spend time together- as a family- in a happy place.
